These prestigious awards are now in their 30th year. The evening recognises and rewards all the journalists, photographers, cartoonists and others who've contributed significantly to the industry in Scotland.
Our role – We co-ordinate every aspect, including recruiting sponsors, preparing the criteria for each category, copywriting and print production, co-ordinating judging, public relations, financial management, as well as overall event management of the evening. And we've helped turn this event around. From running at a deficit, it's now profit-making. In 2007, we increased ticket sales by 30% and continued to increase numbers in 2008. We also brought in 50% more sponsorship in 2008 than the previous year.
