ECS manage eight events throughout the year in Scotland on behalf of HIT Scotland. The events range from Corporate Fundraising Dinners, to Golf Days and a conference that attracts 450 delegates. A closer look:
- POETS Lunch - A fundraising lunch held in Glasgow, that incorporates exciting entertainment for its guests while they enjoy the great food and networking opportunities that the POETS (Push Off Early Tomorrow's Saturday) Lunch brings. This event attracts guest numbers in excess of 400 and often carries on well in to the evening.
- Grampian Dinner - Is a black-tie fundraising Dinner held in Aberdeen, for 250-280 guests. This evening features an after dinner speaker and is held each year in The Marcliffe Hotel, Spa and Restaurant or the Mercure Ardoe House Hotel.
- Highland Dinner - A smaller intimate black-tie dinner for 100. This is the newest event to the HIT Scotland portfolio and has sold out in the two years of its existence. Held in Inverness at The Kingsmills Hotel, it provides fantastic value to guests.
- Edinburgh Lunch - This sell-out fundraising lunch is held in Edinburgh for 300 guests. Historically, this event has taken place in The Sheraton Grand Hotel and Spa but in 2011, the event moved to the unique venue of Mansefield Traquair due a refurbishment at The Sheraton.
- Christmas Party - This event is sure to get the festive season off with a bang for all guests in attendance. The fun black-tie evening is held in Glasgow for 280 people and features the least amount of fundraising out of all the HIT Scotland events.
- Industry Dinner - This is the highlight evening within the Hospitality Industry calendar, where the event attracts all of the key influencers within the Industry. Held in Glasgow, this fundraising event
- Emerging Talent Conference - The Emerging Talent Conference attracts delegate numbers in excess of 450 in February and is held in a different venue all over Scotland each year. It boosts sessions by inspirational Industry speakers and has breakout and workshop sessions for delegates to participate in. During the afternoon the successful recipients of HIT Scholarships are announced, so is THE event to attend for the industry's Emerging Talent; and
- Corporate Golf Day - The HIT Golf Day is held at different Championship courses throughout Scotland; Turnberry, Fairmont St Andrews and Gleneagles to name a few. The event has 18 teams of four who battle it out for the Winner's trophy that they can keep until the following year's tournament.
Our Role - We co-ordinate all aspects of all eight events on behalf of HIT Scotland. Our main responsibilities include ticket and table sales, venue and supplier liaison, copy writing, prize coordination and managing finances for the different events - as well as the overall event management for the events.
