Muir Maxwell Trust: Champagne Afternoon Tea at the Balmoral 2009

MMT held a ladies afternoon tea in The Balmoral Hotel, Edinburgh, on Thursday, 10th September. It was the most elegant of afternoons, with a pink champagne reception, accompanied by a string quartet, earl grey tea, cucumber sandwiches and cupcakes, as well as a unique visit by the Queen! Guests enjoyed a fashion show of designer fashion and accessories by Jane Davidson and Pam Jenkins as well as seeing the new Kate Moss Top Shop Autumn Season collection.
The prize draw and auction items were every girl's dream come true; a Judith Leiber Crystal Cupcake Handbag (à la Sex in the City fame!), an escape to Spain's luxurious Sha Wellness Spa, a house party for Golfing Girls at Marine Villa and a girlie lunch at Prestonfield with Biggins and his partner, Neil. The afternoon raised over £50,000 for the Trust.
Our role - to manage every aspect of the event including all logistics, sourcing entertainment, liaising with the venue, co-ordinating the fashion show and running the fundraising on the day
