Scottish Enterprise appointed ECS to organise their 2009 GlobalScot International Conference to help create a unique offering to some of the world's leading business people and Scotland's ambitious companies.
The main conference day on the 2nd November brought together 200 members of the influential GlobalScot network with over 200 representatives from Scotlands most exciting growth businesses with the clear intention of helping the latter with their desires to expand domestically and internationally. With excellent speakers (including Guy Crawford, Chief Executive Office, Jumeirah and Will Whitehorn, President of Virgin Galactic), panel sessions, one to one meetings between GlobalScots and companies, a diary room, international 'pods' and an opportunity to "Pitch for Success" the day was considered by both parties to be well worth their time. The day culminated in a glittering Gala Dinner in the Kelvingrove Museum.
The International Conference was topped and tailed by private GlobalScot events helping to strengthen links between these high profile business leaders and their Scottish Enterprise contacts all building towards future success!
Our role - we helped to set up the event website, issued emailed invitations, looked after the delegate booking and management process, liaised with the venue and catering providers, designed and ran the show element with the AV company, organised accommodation and were present in an event management capacity throughout.
