Scottish Press Awards

This was our 7th year of working on the self-funding Scottish Press Awards with the Scottish Newspaper Society. ECS is responsible for all aspects of the awards incuding raising sponsorship, preparing the criteria for each category, copywriting and print production, marketing, collating entries and collecting entry fees, co-ordinating the judging, public relations and financial management.  We also organise and fully event manage the awards celebration itself.

This year the awards attracted 365 entries into the 21 categories and 260 people attended the awards dinner, which was held at the newly re-opened Grand Central Hotel. This was also the first year that we built a dedicated website for the awards - click here.

ECS has been re-appointed to run the 33rd Scottish Press Awards, to be held in April of 2012.
