Glenfiddich Spirit of Scotland Awards 2009

We have managed the Awards since 2001 and the latest event took place at the Prestonfield in Edinburgh. Run by Glenfiddich, the Awards are supported by The Scotsman newspaper and have established themselves as THE celebration of Scottish culture. This unique scheme recognises the individuals who inspire Scotland, leading the way in our culture in such diverse areas as food, music, the environment, art, business, writing and sport and who, through their achievements, are making every year count.
The host Kirsty Wark was joined by a host of citation readers including Nell Nelson, Jim McColl, Daniela Nardini, Ian Rankin, Alexander McCall Smith, Peter Capaldi, Stephen Jardine and Peter Gregson - to name but a few.
Guests enjoyed exclusive use of Prestonfield House for pre-dinner drinks before moving into the stables for a sumptuous 4-course dinner and the Awards themselves. With a glittering stage set and stunning ice sculptures filled with bottles of Glenfiddich, this invitation only event has become the hottest ticket in town!
Our role - managing every aspect of the event as well as co-ordinating the judging process, contacting all nominees, liaising with The Scotsman, managing the invitation list and co-ordinating the AV and stage management of the show itself.
