The Scottish Daily Newspaper Society's Scottish Press Awards are now in their 31st year and are firmly established as the top awards for the industry within Scotland. In addition to offering well deserved rewards to the winners, the awards drive home the importance of excellence within Scottish journalism and are widely acknowledged throughout Scotland's press as a prestigious addition to the trophy shelf.
The closing date for entering the awards was the 20th January 2010.
