Take a bride based in America with her heart set on a spectacular Secret Forest wedding in Edinburgh, add in an open-sided marquee in unpredictable weather, a date bang in the middle of the Festival, 200 guests crossing the Atlantic, and three different venues for three different wedding events… just the kind of challenge we love!

Employing Skype, email and endless patience, we worked with our American clients in perfect harmony, solving problems, providing advice and ensuring that every last detail was pinned down and run past the family for approval in advance. Even without face-to-face contact, we listened, we heard and we understood exactly what our bride and her mother were looking for. From the exquisite menus and fine wines at Prestonfield to the spectacular flowers fashioned by Planet Flowers, we brought our client’s dream wedding day vividly to life.

Drinks and canapés at The Gallery of Modern Art, a show at The Assembly Rooms and a rehearsal dinner in the beautiful Secret Garden restaurant provided the perfect build up to the big day at Prestonfield House, and we quietly and confidently ran and organised the entire extravaganza, leaving Megan and her mother with little to do other than relax and enjoy the whole magical experience. We repaid their confidence in us with a magnificent celebration that not only perfectly reflected their very specific brief but delivered the wow factor over and over again.
